Sachsenhausen Memorial and Museum

Exhibitions will partly reopen from 15 June

11. June 2021

From 15 June, the following three museums in the Sachsenhausen Memorial will reopen for visitors:

  • The Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp 1936-1945. Events and Developments
    Tuesday to Sunday from 11.00 to 15.00
     
  • Jewish Inmates in Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp 1936-1945
    Tuesday / Wednesday and Friday to Sunday from 11.00 to 15.00
     
  • Museum Soviet Special Camp No. 7 / No. 1 (1945 to 1950)
    Thursday from 11.00 to 15.00

To visit an exhibition, one can register and provide contact details on site at the Visitor Information Centre.

The number of people who can be in an exhibition at the same time is limited and depends on the room size. At present, groups cannot visit the exhibitions.

The Memorial outdoor grounds including the open-air exhibition "Murder and Mass Murder in the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp 1936-1945" can still be visited daily from 8.30 to 18.00 hours.

The general social distancing and hygiene rules apply, as well as the obligation to wear medical mouth-nose protection in closed rooms.
